Upon graduation from the University of Denver College of Law in 2005, Ms. Jones practiced with an insurance defense law firm for five years. She represented businesses, insurance companies and individuals in federal and state court matters. Ms. Jones believed that in starting her own practice in Denver, Colorado, she could be more effective in helping people deal with a variety of legal issues at an affordable cost. Ms. Jones founded Colorado Affordable Legal Services, LLC (CALS) for that purpose. Since then, CALS has allowed Ms. Jones to fully realize her passion for helping people at all levels of litigation and protection. April treats every client with respect and integrity.

Floyd L. Jones Jr. is an esteemed legal professional whose career has been dedicated to advancing tenant rights and promoting housing justice throughout Colorado. As Co-Founder of Colorado Affordable Legal Services and CEO of the Tenant Law Center of America, Mr. Jones provides critical legal advocacy to underserved and marginalized populations, ensuring access to safe and equitable housing.
In his current role, Mr. Jones oversees client intake, strategic marketing initiatives, business development, and serves as a firm representative to major legal associations. He manages the Eviction Defense Clinic at the Denver County Courthouse and co-developed the Housing Eviction Legal Program (H.E.L.P.), an initiative designed to provide rapid support for tenants facing eviction.
Prior to founding Colorado Affordable Legal Services, Mr. Jones served as Director of Membership and Business Development for the Colorado Black Chamber of Commerce, where he cultivated strong community partnerships and economic opportunities.
A recognized community leader, Mr. Jones has held leadership positions with the Colorado Black Chamber of Commerce, the Sam Cary Bar Association, and served as an African-American Commissioner for the City of Denver. His achievements have been honored by Denver Urban Spectrum Magazine, naming him among "African Americans Who Made a Difference."
Mr. Jones continues to volunteer extensively with nonprofit and civic organizations across the Denver Metro Area, embodying a tireless commitment to social justice, tenant advocacy, and community empowerment.
